Nicis Institute visits Seven Sisters New Deal for Communities
A group of 32 people, working on neighbourhood regeneration in Amsterdam, visited The Bridge New Deal for Communities area on Tuesday 16th June. The trip was organised by the Nicis Institute. The purpose of the study trip was to find out more about the education and learning aspects in the Bridge NDC. The participants were a mix of senior policy-oriented people and operational managers, every participant works in Amsterdam and has something to do with the neighbourhood approach there. Some work in specific areas, whereas others connect certain themes, e.g. social issues, for the different neighbourhoods of Amsterdam.
The format of the study visit included presentations in the morning and a tour of the Bridge NDC area in Seven Sisters. Officers and resident board members of the NDC showed the visitors a number of physical regeneration projects the Bridge NDC has delivered or worked in partnership with’.
Nicis Institute
